Merry Christmas from the team at Living in London!

We want to take this opportunity to wish our loyal clients and local residents happy holidays and spread some festive cheer!

2021 has been an incredibly challenging year (for obvious reasons), but we’re pleased and proud that we came through relatively unscathed, and of our many accomplishments.

This year, we have broken personal records for number of awards won, including:

‘Best Estate Agency’, ‘Best Estate and Letting Agent South East London’, ‘Best Independent Estate Agent South East London’, ‘Leading Independent Estate Agent’, ‘Gold Award – East London’, ‘Gold Award – SE16’, and ‘Gold Trusted Service Feefo Award’.

You can view our various awards via our Virtual Trophy Cabinet.

This year has also brought new staff to Living in London as we expand to service our many wonderful clients in and around SE16.

We’re incredibly proud of our staff who have managed to maintain the high standards we pride ourselves on, testament to which can not only be seen from the awards won, but also from our 5 star rating on feefo.

Further, thanks in part to the stamp duty holiday and the release of pent-up buyer demand following the easing of restriction, we look set to break our sales records.

We’ve been very busy throughout the year, and as we just about started to feel the usual annual wind down for Christmas, it seems there is still some demand from buyers to get a property sale agreed. Perhaps this is due to the delay in the interest rate rises, or the fact that sellers are open to reasonable offers, or just because although buyers know they won’t be moved before Christmas/the New Year, they just want to find a place which caters for their ‘new normal’.

For anyone looking to sell in 2022, we do recommend starting the process now, if you’re able to, in order to benefit from the spike in portal traffic (buyers) witnessed during the festive period.

Rightmove (for example) repeatedly reports its busiest day of the year for buyer and tenant activity is Boxing Day, so with the (current) limited stock available nationally right now, it’s a good idea to make the most of these extra eyes providing your property is ‘sale ready’.

Keep an eye out for our emails or on our social media, as we will soon be launching a ‘Happy New Year’ article, in which we will highlight our 2022 predictions for the sales and rental market in and around SE16 and give our thoughts/insights into what we’re currently experiencing.

But for now, Happy Holidays to you and yours and from all the team at Living in London, we wish you a Merry Christmas!
